LJToys started in late 2006 out of an idea I had (very) late one drunken Saturday night. Using web bugs to track who reads your posts was nothing new but what if someone brought it to the masses? And what then if they used the flood of data from thousands of disparate journals to make really good guesses about who was reading?

So LJToys was born.
